Mission Statement:

As an Author, Speaker, and Mentor, I write and speak my authentic, faith-based stories that resonate, inspire, and encourage. Guiding and encouraging others to tell their stories is my passion, creating my own legacy stories irremovable from history.

My Personal Story:

I am married, the mother of five grown children, the Nanny to three beautiful granddaughters. I served in the U.S. Navy for 13 years as a Navy Radio, Television, and Print Journalist. My writing has primarily been non-fiction, research, and technical writing, but my love is creative writing. I am presently writing a novel and working on my memoir. Sprinkle in blogging and some poetry, and you will find that my writing experience is vast and my joy. Why? I love transcribing for the Father. I sense His presence every time the pen hits the paper, or my fingers hit the keys.

Put me on stage or in front of a podium, and He speaks through me. I am a Toastmaster, and I have been a member of the National Speaker Associations Pro-Track Program. I speak on various topics, including Leadership, God's Call, Life Transitions, and faith-based topics that encourage women and men of all ages. My workshops on Vision Boards are sought after by churches, organizations, and women's groups throughout the year. Speaking has always come naturally to me; I am the baby in my family and a natural entertainer, I am told. God called me to write and speak when I was eight-years-old after reading my first chapter book "Heidi". I closed the book and clutched it to my chest thinking - "I want to write books like that." As for my speaking and performing - I was a pint-sized producer when gathering the neighborhood kids together for garage plays and presentations. A production of "Swan Lake" and "Pippi Longstocking" were particular hits.

I graduated from Regent University with my degree in Communications- Rhetoric and Communication Narrative. I worked at Regent University for ten years as the Communications Doctoral Program Assistant, and then as Advisor to the program while also advising military, and other programs offered at the school. If you would like a detailed resume of my experience, I encourage you to visit my Linked In profile for recommendations and work experience details.

I am a member of the AWSA, ACFW, She Writes For Him, and Word Weavers.

My Life and Signature scriptures are:

Numbers 6: 24-26

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."(NIV)

Psalm 139

"O LORD, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise [my entire life, everything I do]; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue [still unspoken], Behold, O LORD, You know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before, And [You have] placed Your hand upon me. Such [infinite] knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high [above me], I cannot reach it. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead), behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will take hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will cover me, And the night will be the only light around me,” Even the darkness is not dark to You and conceals nothing from You, But the night shines as bright as the day; Darkness and light are similar to You. For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was being formed in secret, And intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth. Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were appointed for me, When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape]. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I could count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You. O that You would kill the wicked, O God; Go away from me, therefore, men of bloodshed. For they speak against You wickedly, Your enemies take Your name in vain. Do I not hate those who hate You, O LORD? And do I not loathe those who rise against You? I hate them with perfect and utmost hatred; They have become my enemies. Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way."(AMP)
