This is my word for 2021 - OVERCOME.
The beginning of this year came in like a blur due to the last month of 2020. The high I was riding after the Blue Ridge Christian Writer's Conference faded quickly and my plans to prepare for my writing goals for 2021 fell to the wayside. I thought God wanted my word to be "Intention" with "Follow through," but this was not one word - it was a phrase. God spoke clearly to me the other day, saying, "Amy, you are great at good intentions. You strive to prepare and follow-through, but you never do. You struggle at finishing. My dear daughter, I want you to finish, and to do that, you must "OVERCOME" those things that keep you from finishing. You need, not just want, to master your writing; you must conquer, defeat, and vanquish those distractions, procrastination, negative mindset, the voice of the imposter, and excuses that are keeping you from finishing. Your word is OVERCOME."
He then gave me Jeremiah 1:19 NIV as my first scripture for the year.
"They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD." Jeremiah 1:19 NIV
What is your word for 2021?
If you will allow a phrase, not a just a word, this year it is “Be the light”. Last year it was “Open eyes”. Thanks for sharing what spoke to you!
Teresa - I love the fact that your word is restored. I will write you in my prayer journal with your word in mind. May the Lord guide you every day as you become RESTORED to meet His call.
My word for 2021 is Restored.
